Franck Dadure brilliantly charts an untraveled road in the jazz world by marrying it with finesse to electronics. From this union is born a language freed of any inhibition, defying adherence to any aesthetic school. To illustrate his project Franck Dadure brings together the cream of the French scene (Dominique Grimaldi, Fabien Duscombs, Fred Sachs, Elliott Touzalin and Daniel Zimmermann) giving birth to UMO (an unidentified musical object).




Franck Dadure a esquissé avec brio un chemin singulier dans le monde du Jazz en le mariant avec finesse à l’électronique. De cette union est né un langage désinhibé, qui se joue des chapelles esthétiques. Compositeur musicien (saxophone, basse, contrebasse, clarinette Turque, claviers, guitares, instruments faits maison…) et producteur, Franck Dadure s’illustre sous divers pseudonymes autant dans l’électroacoustique expérimentale que dans un Jazz futuriste et créatif avec son groupe The Fakir Orchestra.

Pour élaborer son projet, Franck Dadure a réuni pour ce CD Dominique Grimaldi à la basse, Fabien Duscombs à la batterie, Frédéric Sachs à la guitare, Elliott Touzalin à la trompette et Daniel Zimmermann au trombone. Ensemble, ces musiciens ont donné naissance à un OMNI (objet musical non identifié). Après un CD en 2012 avec le label Signature, Mélodies Lunatiques*, Franck Dadure mélange dans ce nouvel enregistrement différents univers artistiques, géographiques et thématiques pour réaliser une véritable passerelle entre les esthétiques musicales.

Avec des titres aussi insolites que L’escalator qui pleure ou Coke au vin (pour 8 personnes), Tako Mitsu constitue un tour du monde musical qui débute au Japon, avec l’interprétation singulière d’une comptine traditionnelle, et qui va jusqu’au Bengladesh, en France et en Suède (hommage à Esbjorn Svensson). Franck Dadure croise également les références musicales, littéraires et cinématographiques. L’ouvrage de Takiji Kobayashi, Le Bateau Usine, ou encore le film Profession : reporter de Michelangelo Antonioni procure ainsi à cet enregistrement un horizon artistique envoûtant et inouï.
